I have selected these 20 existing household objects that i found have some functional flaws in them.

FLAWS OF 20 OBJECTS

Hair straightner:-

I chose this object because its outer surface gets too hot while using and you can’t hold it ,to press from the top.

Ceramic Sink :-

The fault I found in this object is that it wets your clothes when you wash your face, not just the lower sinks but the sinks of every shape has this problem

Glass jugs :-

They are very heavy specially as table wear and their mouth is not properly designed they leak water when poured

Shampoo bottle :-

Their body is very slippery when hold with wet hand. And when the bottle slips the cap opens itself and the shampoo is wasted

Scissors :-

They are well designed but the holder for our thumb and finger.Its not that very comfortable. It makes both the finger tired and also hurts.

Dish Rack:-

There are variety of different dish racks. The object is chose has a tray to collect water these trays are not very convenient and easy to drag.

Micro wave :-

It is a very technical designed object but its functions and aesthetics can be improved. they don’t have such issues

Sewing machine :-

Too much heavy in weight that they can not be moved/carried by a from one place to another.

Bathroom slipper :-

They are slippery when the floor is wet

Water dispenser:-

The storage tank stores water but it and not be opened and cleaned easily which causes fungi.

Tea trolly:-

They are not very stable and have less portions.

Bowls :-

They do not insulate the inner heat. When something hot is poured in it. It also gets hot from the outside that you cant hold with bare hands.

Wall planters :-

Not easy to water them and when they are watered it leaks with mud and does the wall dirty.

Sink L shape pipes:-

In the end of these pipes the water stays and when we wash our hands or anything, the germs and bacteria and different washing products stays at the end and becomes the cause of bad odor.

Screw driver :-

They do not have much strength and they dshape

Toothpaste:-

They are not stable and much of the paste stays in the packaging and is wasted.

Iron stand:-

They are not very comfortable to press clothes and causes back pain the heat of iron usually burns a sheet on a surface.

Candle stands:-

When the candle melts the wax is dropped on the surface and stand and sticks.

SOLUTIONS

HAIR STRAIGHTNER

I came up with the idea of putting a wodden outer suface on the top of the straightner from where we used to hold the stariaghtner from the top.

TEA TROLLY

add shocks on the tyers of the trolly, added the draw and rubber sheet on the surface so they make less sound and will not slip.

CERAMIC SINK :

Diagonal slope of the sink where the tap fixes and added a removeable think hole strainer.

LSHAPE PIPE:

added a removeable strainer at the top of the pipe.. slighted the shape of the pipe.
